Coolness Captured

Seeing as someone I know is taking a trip down memory lane, I will too. In my youth I was obesessed with Fairgrounds. Here are some of my photographs. I have to add that these photos were taken using black and white film and were created in the days long before digital cameras.

My favourite female pop duo. It’s very hard to find photos of Tatu with clothes on, and that’s a shame because personaly I think it’s their more innocent, sweet, candid shots that capture them at their best. In the early days I think Tatu did a great deal to improve the image of gay women. They just look so cute together. When interviewed they will always say they aren’t lesbian they just love one another, which kind of makes their tender kisses together even more appealing somehow. The problem is their image has become more and more manufactured, constantly trying to make them look slutier and more provoctive, and in the process less and less appealing.

Their music?? Their first album “200 KMH In The Wrong Lane” is amazing. I never go anywhere without it. It’s electro pop at it’s best. The Russian versions of their hits are even more moving than the English. There is a song called “Stars” which still brings tears to my eyes. In all the publicity and hype about them being gay, people actually forgot about the music. But I haven’t, and will often play “All The Things She Said” early on at a disco as my tribute to the girls.

Actually this photo has very little to do with the Olympics that starts in less than three weeks in Beijing, but much more to do with the fact I love this photo of China’s athletes training with the mission to become heros. But what I really love about this photo is the genderless look of the person in the red sleeveless t-shirt. Nice arms and neck too. Where are my weights?

I just love the way Omarion and Bow Wow are such good friends. They record songs together, perform together, compare each others underwear together! I so wish they’d come out as being gay! I mean they won’t coz really there is no room for homosexuality in the hip hop world, and of course I think both of them are straight, but I can dream.

It always makes me smile because Bow Bow is much less muscular and smaller than Omarion so when they have a photo together or in a video they get him to waer jackets and more padded clothes and Omarion to wear vests or tight fitting tops. The less that Omarion wears on his top, the better I say!

Has anyone seen these photos and pictures that are dotted with small LED lights? Often they look tacky, but I think this one looks really good. Really atmospheric.

Now how sweet did I look? Just the sort of person you’d take home to meet Mummy right?

When I wear silver bling I always wear silver chains hanging from my jeans. Yeah I know, I’m a poser but the thing is when I wear gold bling I don’t have any gold chains to hang from them, so I always feel a bit naked. I like my jean chains because they symbolise a great many things to me. Well anyway, thanks to ebay.com I’ve found a seller with some gold chains! Yes my heart did race with excitement. But the problem is…which one? Please help me choose.
