A really good friend of mine has a very cool blog, using cd cover designs as the background. I felt inspired to do my own collection. I’ve chosen them for a number of different reasons, some the design, some because I love the artist and some because they bring back good memories.
I have to say I could have picked hundreds, and am sure I will return with another set very soon!

Lovin’ seeing Topman use such androgynous looking models for their adverts.

I have a soft spot for Batman, and it seems that the hip hop world is embracing him too. Just check out these cool caps! I couldn’t help but create my own Batman collage in photoshop.
My Batman belt buckle arrived from Hong Kong this week although it’s not as flash as the one shown here. See if you can find the hidden photo of Batman kissing the real love of his life.

This is one of my favourite features in the Observer Magazine – My favourite Outfit. I like the fact that they choose normal people and not models, of any gender, size and age. I was drawn to this specific one because of the 50’s clothes. I used to wear the same kind of gear! Ok myabe I was a bit more over the top with it, but I also had a pair of brothel creepers and I bought mine from Shellys too!
But then as I was reading the blurb about Frances I was even more delighted to see that no comments were made about her masculine appearance. No reference was made to her male icons. Can you imagine the write up in “Hello” magazine? Well let’s face it, she wouldn’t have had her photo shown in there anyway, apart from maybe a trashy article about how they could do a make over on her and make her look femme. Shit. What a breath of fresh air this article is. 10 out of 10 to the Observer magazine and 10 out of 10 to Frances Emerald for making butch look so cool.
But why should I, because then I wouldn’t be able to wear t-shirts and belts like these!
Isn’t this a cool piece of artwork? It would make a great painting. And I’ve always wanted a Batman belt ever since I was a….well a kid.

Well what did you expect me to show? Barbie doll blonde locks? Please, get real. Nothing more beautiful to me than seeing a girl with a shaved head. Don’t you agree?

Still not enough. You can never have too many caps!
I Loooooooooooove this cap that my partner bought for me on my birthday. It goes so well with my new hoodie too. If you know anything about logo’s you’ll recognise it as a Billabong. Bit surfer, bit hip hop. Bit big now my hair’s so short but hey my ears stop if from dropping over my eyes!
