Coolness Captured

So it’s not Wardrobe Wednesday, do I care? I can show off my new cap anytime I like! When I saw this, I just had to buy it!

Well I’ve just got back from Italy and it really is a very beautiful country. Here are 2 shots of the hotel pool and the view of the gardens from our bedroom window. I felt quite inspired to get home and make our garden look a bit more like this! If I could get off my butt and do it!

I just had to add this photo I took when we went to visit Venice for the day. I really liked the piece of artwork in this shop and thought I may create something like it myself, so I sneaked a photo of it just as a reference shot. Not only did I manage to include a bit of my bling in the reflection, but also a boy sitting on a wall. The rest of the shots are all in Venice. Check out the window display. I thought it was kind of ironic to have plastic windmills and fake flowers on a window sill that is hundreds of years old. You see that kind of contrast everywhere. My partner took the final one of a Wedding party traveling in Gondolas.

..but these Bus Stops make it worth the wait. There are smelly, vandalised shelters filled with cigarette butts and empty beer cans – then there are these bus stops. Hey, who cares if the No 73 is late.

How beautiful is this guy? Bill Kaulitz is the lead singer of the German band, Tokio Hotel. German site dw-world.com suggests that his androgynous look, young age and edgy hairstyle has reached icon status among many teenage girls. And not just the girls!

What an amazing piece of artwork!! Unfortunately I can only find a copy of it in a newspaper so I had to photograph it and use that to show here. Hence the fold down the middle, but hopefully you can see the advert well enough.

Selfridges, in London, has been open to the world since 1909! I used to go there a great deal with my parents when I was a kid and it’s an amazing store, along with Harrods, Liberty etc. My days of going to posh shops in London are long gone I’m pleased to say, as it brings back too many painful memories of being dragged around shops all day long by my mother. A quick visit to TK Maxx suits me just fine. I wonder if they be around in 100 years time too?

Do you remember in the 70’s when t-shirts had designs like ties and buttons and waistcoats actually printed on the t-shirt? Well it’s back in again! Check out this t-shirt I’ve just bought that has a bling chain and pendant printed onto the t-shirt. The NY is in silver block.
